In a remarkable game of two halves,
EAST LEEDS were left hanging on for the final whistle in a pulsating
CMS YORKSHIRE LEAGUE UNISON DIVISION THREE TOP FOUR FINAL against
SHERBURN BEARS.
Easts were 26-0 ahead at the break, but the Bears were not disposed to roll over and dominated the second period, only to lose 26-22.
Tim Norfolk scored two tries and a goal for the winners, while Dean Langton, Fraser Butterfield and Jimmy Prior crossed and Reece Young landed a couple of goals.
Sherburn, who provided the man of the match in Joel Booth, hit back with a try and two goals by Steve Wood and touchdowns by Lewis Booth, Steve Denton and Paul Walshaw; Reece Hughes kicked a conversion.
